Help for children and families

The needs that families and their children have are hugely varied, and so are the types of support offered in Monheim am Rhein by the Children, Youth and Family Department, the parental counselling service ("Erziehungsberatung") or the beratungsCentrum counselling service. What they all have in common is their focus on the welfare of children and youngsters as well as on advice and support for their parents, aimed at improving the conditions under which young people grow up in Monheim am Rhein.

General parental counselling offers provide parents with guidance and support, strengthening them in their parental role. In a counselling session, the root causes of issues are uncovered, behavioral patterns are analyzed and new approaches for raising and living with children and young people are developed.

In addition to general parental advice and counselling on separation, divorce and addiction, the service offers support in matters relating to alimony payments or the recognition of paternity.
