City Festival

From June 14 to June 16, 2024, the Monheim City Festival will be celebrated in the city center. Monheim am Rhein sees itself as a "City for Everyone," and the games, attractions, and entertainment programs offered during the festival are therefore free of charge.

Classics such as the Gänseliesellauf (Goose Girl Run), Gänselieselmarkt (Goose Girl Market), City Challenge, Vereinsmeile (Club Mile), and Rathausrallye (City Hall Rally) will once again be integral parts of the overall program. Those who have enjoyed the Monheim City Festival once tend to return. On the open-air stage at Gartzenweg, entertainment will continue until midnight with high-profile music acts. In past years, around 3.000 young adults gathered in front of the stage. The UEFA European Football Championship games will not be broadcast during the City Festival weekend.

To provide a wide culinary selection for visitors during the day and evening, there are designated spaces for gastronomic offerings. On the traditional Vereinsmeile (Club Mile), Monheim clubs, non-profit organizations, and groups can present themselves interactively, attract potential new members, and showcase Monheim's diversity. A prerequisite for participation is offering an interactive activity aligned with the City Festival theme. As customary, the main stage on City Festival Sunday will feature a diverse program with and by Monheim residents, citizens, and groups. Monheim clubs and other local participants have the opportunity to present themselves to a large audience.

The 46th Gänselieselmarkt will take place on City Festival Saturday, June 15, organized by the Höfges Event Group GmbH.
